I believe in the power of stories...

I am a storyteller. I tell stories to my students - to teach them, to inspire them, to make them laugh, and sometimes shed a quiet tear. Stories are important. They help us to make sense of the world: the good and the bad, the happy and the sad. 

Stories are at the very core of teaching and learning because they speak to the mind and the heart. They make us think. They build empathy and understanding. Humans are hard-wired to remember stories. They engage us in a way that mere facts cannot.
